Andrew Lang Children’s Books
Andrew Lang was a Scottish writer and scholar, born in Selkirk in 1844. He is best known for his coloured Fairy Books, a series that gathered folk and fairy tales from around the world. The Blue Fairy Book, published in 1889, was the first of them. Much of the work was translated and prepared by his wife, Leonora, and other helpers, with Lang as editor.
