Three mice run blind into a farmer's wife and don't come off well for it. It's one of the best-known rhymes in English purely for its tune and momentum, though the ending is sharper than the cheerful tone suggests.
From Mother Goose / Nursery Rhymes (traditional). See the whole collection.
Three blind mice! See how they run!
They all ran after the farmer's wife,
Who cut off their tails with a carving knife.
Did you ever see such a thing in your life
As three blind mice?
