A little riddle rhyme complete with a stick, a stone and a groat offered as the prize for guessing right. It's short enough to say twice in a row, which is half the fun of a good riddle.
From Mother Goose / Nursery Rhymes (traditional). See the whole collection.
As I went through the garden gap,
Who should I meet but Dick Red-cap!
A stick in his hand, a stone in his throat,—
If you'll tell me this riddle, I'll give you a groat.
