Traditional, Robert Southey Children’s Books
The Story of the Three Bears is an old tale that the English poet Robert Southey first put into print, in a book of his called The Doctor in 1837. In his telling the intruder is a little old woman rather than a girl. The young girl came later, and later still she gained the name Goldilocks.
