L. Frank Baum Children’s Books
L. Frank Baum was an American writer who was born in 1856. He wrote The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in 1900, wanting to make a fairy tale that felt American rather than borrowed from Europe. It was popular enough that he went on to write more than a dozen further Oz books.
