Aesop Children’s Books

Aesop was a storyteller of ancient Greece, said to have lived around the sixth century BC. His name is attached to a large collection of short fables, brief animal stories that each carry a plain lesson, such as The Tortoise and the Hare and The Boy Who Cried Wolf. The tales were passed on by word of mouth long before they were written down, so little about his life is certain.
